What an affiliate link is

Some links on MowReview go to Amazon.com and carry a code that tells Amazon the visit came from us. If you then buy something, Amazon pays MowReview a small percentage of the sale. That money pays for the time it takes to research and write these guides.

What it costs you

Nothing. The price on Amazon is the same whether you arrive through our link or not. We never see your payment details or what else you buy.

How to spot our affiliate links

Affiliate links on MowReview look like buttons that say “Check the current price on Amazon,” with the words “Paid link” right beside them. Every guide that contains them also shows a notice near the top of the page explaining how we’re paid.

Links to manufacturers, testers, government agencies and other sources are ordinary links. We aren’t paid for them.

What commission doesn’t change

• Which mowers we mention. A mower is included because it suits the yard a page is about, not because of what it pays.
• What we say about them. Every product comes with a genuine drawback, including the ones we link to.
• Whether we recommend anything at all. Many of our guides, especially on safety and troubleshooting, have no affiliate links, because buying something isn’t the answer.

What we don’t accept

MowReview doesn’t accept payment from manufacturers for coverage or placement, and doesn’t sell positions in its lists. If that ever changes, for example if a manufacturer lends us a product, we’ll say so clearly on every page it affects.

Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Other product and brand names on this site belong to their owners and are used only to identify those products.
