Gifts for Someone Who Already Has a Robot Mower

Updated 9-minute read

Quick answer

The best gift for a robot mower owner is something the mower actually uses up or needs: a pack of genuine replacement blades, a garage or cover, a cellular module if their model doesn’t have 4G, or a terrain wheel kit for a hilly lawn. Small extras such as work gloves, a tracker for models that support one, and a weatherproof outlet cover make good stocking stuffers. The one rule is fit: blades, garages and modules are model-specific, so find out the exact model before you buy.

Once someone owns a robot mower, most of the big decisions are made. But there’s a steady list of accessories that keep it working, protect it or make it more useful, and most owners never get round to buying them. That makes them good gifts, as long as they fit.

This guide goes through the useful accessories by type and by brand, using each manufacturer’s own descriptions. MowReview quotes no prices and hasn’t tested these accessories. How we research explains why.

Find the exact model first

“A Husqvarna” or “a Navimow” isn’t enough. Blades, garages, wheel kits and 4G modules are made for specific models, and several don’t cross over. The model name is on a label on the mower and in the app. If you can’t ask without spoiling the surprise, a gift card from the manufacturer’s store is the safe alternative.

Replacement blades: the most useful gift

Robot mowers use small razor-style blades that dull quickly, and owners often run them too long. Manufacturers’ own replacement advice:

  • Husqvarna: main blades typically last 3 to 6 weeks under normal conditions. EdgeCut blades last 9 to 12 weeks.
  • Segway Navimow: every 80 working hours on the X3 and X4, and every 1 to 2 months with regular use on the i-series.
  • Mammotion: every 3 months or after 150 hours. Its Endurance blades can be flipped at 50 hours.
  • Worx Landroid Vision: about every 1 to 2 months.
  • Ecovacs GOAT: about every 4 to 6 weeks.

Buy genuine blades from the mower’s own brand. Husqvarna says to “always use original Husqvarna blades and screws,” Mammotion says to use model-specific blades and never reuse old screws, and Worx says to replace all blades at once with new screws. Most kits include new screws for that reason. Robot mower maintenance explains the blade routine.

Gifts by brand

Segway Navimow

  • Blade Assembly Plus: 12 double-edged blades and 15 bolts, fitting the X4, X3, i2 AWD, i2 LiDAR, i1, H2 and H1.
  • Garages: Garage L for the X3, Garage X for the X4, and Garage M and S for i- and H-series models. Segway says they protect against sun and rain, and that the X3’s garage doesn’t affect signal.
  • Antenna Mounting Kit: an adjustable, wind-resistant pole mount for the RTK antenna on the X4, X3, i2 AWD and i1.
  • Access+ 4G module: for i-series mowers only, adding 4G and anti-theft tracking. The X3 and X4 already have 4G built in.
  • Off-Road Wheels: spiked wheels for the i1 series, for wet or muddy ground and slopes up to 35%.

Mammotion

  • Endurance Replacement Blades: 24 stainless steel blades, listed as fitting all Mammotion series, including the LUBA 3 AWD, LUBA mini 2 AWD and YUKA mini 2.
  • Garage mini: a canopy for the LUBA mini AWD and YUKA mini lines, with an open frame for airflow. A full-size garage fits the larger LUBA models.
  • 4G Module for YUKA mini and YUKA mini 2: remote app control and live yard video, with a three-year free 4G trial. The LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA mini 2 AWD have 4G built in.
  • RTK Wall Mount Kit: mounts the RTK antenna on a wall for better signal. It fits the LUBA 3 AWD, LUBA 2 AWD and YUKA, but not the mini models.
  • Mower Cleaning Stand: raises the mower so you can rinse the blades and underside. It doesn’t fit the YUKA series.
  • Side Cutting Disc: a replacement edge disc for the LUBA mini 2 AWD (blades sold separately).

Husqvarna Automower

  • Genuine blades: Husqvarna sells Classic, Endurance and Enhance blade types. Check the pack against the model.
  • Terrain kits: deep-tread, weighted rear wheels plus wheel brushes, for traction on wet grass and steep slopes. There are separate kits for X-Series and iQ Series mowers.
  • X-Series House: protects from rain, sun and debris, and folds so the controls stay reachable. It fits the 430X, 450X, 520 and 550.
  • Wall Hanger: stores the mower on a wall over winter. It fits several X and H models.
  • Wheel brush refills: replacement brushes that keep the wheels clean.

Worx Landroid

  • Replacement blades: Vision Cloud models (WR310 to WR346) use a 10-blade, 10-screw pack. Check the model list on the pack, because Worx sells several blade types.
  • Vision Garage: shields the mower from heavy rain and heat. It fits the WR208, WR210, WR220, WR230 and WR235.
  • Find My Landroid Vision: GPS tracking, geofence alerts and remote lock, and it keeps working if the main battery is removed. It’s for Vision models only; the standard Find My Landroid doesn’t fit them.
  • FiatLux LED headlight: lights for night mowing.

One to avoid: Worx’s RadioLink Wi-Fi extender isn’t compatible with Vision models.

Ecovacs GOAT

  • Blade Kit: 12 blades and 12 screws, fitting the A3000 LiDAR, A2500 RTK, O1000 RTK and GX-600.
  • GOAT Garage: listed as compatible with all GOAT models.
  • Cellular Module Pro: fits the A2500 RTK, A3000 LiDAR and the LiDAR PRO models. Ecovacs says its Distance Alarm needs this module.

Stocking stuffers for any owner

Work gloves

Segway, Mammotion, Husqvarna and Worx all tell owners to wear gloves when checking or changing blades. Segway specifies heavy-duty gloves. A good pair to go with a blade kit makes a thoughtful pairing.

A tracker, if the model supports one

The Navimow X4 works directly with Apple’s Find My app. Dreame lists AirTag compatibility for its A3 AWD, and EasyLawnMowing found the YUKA mini 2 has a compartment for a tracker such as an AirTag. For other models, check that a tracker won’t block a sensor or vent before hiding one on the mower. Robot mower theft covers the other protections.

A weatherproof outlet cover

The charging station plugs into an outdoor outlet that stays in use all season. ESFI advises installing weatherproof boxes or covers on outdoor outlets and using GFCI protection, and says the National Electrical Code requires GFCI protection outdoors. An in-use cover that stays closed with the plug inserted is a small, practical gift. If the outlet isn’t GFCI-protected, that’s a job for an electrician.

A soft brush

Every brand says to clean the mower regularly, and Husqvarna says to use a brush and never a high-pressure washer. Only some Automowers, such as NERA models, can be rinsed with a hose. Worx says the Landroid Vision can take a garden hose and soft brush, but not a pressure washer. A soft-bristle brush is a cheap gift that suits every model.

Gifts to skip

  • Third-party blades, unless the owner has asked for them. Manufacturers tell owners to use genuine parts.
  • A 4G module for a mower that already has 4G. The Navimow X3 and X4, LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA mini 2 AWD have it built in.
  • A generic Wi-Fi extender, unless you know the problem is Wi-Fi. No manufacturer we checked recommends a specific one, and Worx says to disconnect repeaters while setting up a Landroid Vision.
  • A fully enclosed box as a garage. Mammotion warns that enclosed, dark garages without airflow can trap heat. Buy the brand’s own garage.

If the gift is the mower itself, see robot mowers as a Christmas gift first. If someone just received one, got a robot mower for Christmas? covers the first week.

Questions

What is a good gift for someone with a robot mower?

Spare blades are the most useful, because every brand says they wear out: Husqvarna says 3 to 6 weeks for main blades and Mammotion says every 3 months or 150 hours. A garage or cover, a cellular module for models that lack one, a terrain wheel kit or a pair of work gloves also make practical gifts.

Are robot mower blades universal?

No. Blades and screws are model-specific. Husqvarna says to always use original Husqvarna blades and screws, Mammotion says to use model-specific blades and never reuse old screws, and Worx says to replace all blades at once with new screws. Check the owner’s exact model before buying.

Do robot mower garages actually help?

They shield the mower from sun and rain, which manufacturers say helps. Navimow says its garages protect against sun and rain without affecting signal, and Mammotion says its Garage mini has an open frame for airflow. Mammotion also warns that a fully enclosed, dark garage without airflow can trap heat.

Can I put an AirTag on a robot mower?

Some models are designed for it. The Navimow X4 works with Apple’s Find My directly, Dreame lists AirTag compatibility for its A3 AWD, and EasyLawnMowing found the YUKA mini 2 has a compartment for a tracker such as an AirTag.

Do robot mowers need gloves for maintenance?

Yes. Segway, Mammotion, Husqvarna and Worx all tell owners to wear gloves when checking or changing blades, so a pair of good work gloves is a small, useful gift to go with spare blades.

Should I buy a Wi-Fi extender for a robot mower?

It may help if the lawn has weak Wi-Fi, but no manufacturer we checked recommends a specific extender. Worx says Landroid Vision needs a 2.4 GHz network and that repeaters should be disconnected during setup. For many models, built-in 4G or a cellular module is the more reliable fix.

The short version

Find out the exact model, then buy something it uses up or needs: genuine blades, a garage, a 4G module if it lacks one, or a terrain kit for a hilly lawn. Work gloves, a tracker for supported models and a weatherproof outlet cover make good small extras. Skip third-party blades and anything that duplicates a built-in feature.
