Quick answer
If the smart speaker under the tree is an Amazon Echo, most robot mower brands can work with it: Husqvarna Automower, Segway Navimow, Mammotion and Sunseeker all state Alexa support. Google Home support is patchier: Husqvarna, the Navimow X3 and X4, Mammotion and Sunseeker’s X7 state it, but Navimow’s i-series and H-series are Alexa-only. Siri, Apple Home and Matter aren’t supported by any brand we checked. Husqvarna gives the most complete voice and smart home control, including Alexa, Google, IFTTT and an official Home Assistant integration.
Smart speakers and displays are some of the most common Christmas gifts, and a robot mower is one of the more satisfying things to control with one. “Alexa, tell the mower to park” before a barbecue, or a routine that sends the mower home when rain is on the way, is the kind of thing people buy smart homes for.
But voice support varies a lot between brands and even between models from the same brand, and some of what’s advertised is thinner than it sounds. This guide sets out what works with what, what voice commands can actually do, and where the gaps are. MowReview quotes no prices and hasn’t tested these integrations. How we research explains why.

Why not Siri, Apple Home or Matter?
Husqvarna says it plainly: you can control an Automower “with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, but not with Siri.” We found no mower brand with official Siri or Apple Home control. The only Apple link we found is Find My on the Navimow X4, which lets you locate the mower in Apple’s Find My app. That’s a theft feature, not a way to start or stop it.
Matter, the cross-brand smart home standard that Apple, Google and Amazon all support, doesn’t help yet either. It has device types for robot vacuums but none for robot lawn mowers. Matter 1.5, released in November 2025, added cameras, closures and energy features, and Matter Alpha reported in July 2026 that “there is no way to integrate a robot lawn mower into your smart home’s Matter environment.” If an iPhone household wants voice control of a mower, the realistic route today is an Echo or a Google speaker.
What voice commands can actually do
- Husqvarna with Alexa: start, pause, “park until further notice” and resume the schedule. Automower status updates can also trigger Alexa Routines.
- Husqvarna with Google: start (which runs for 12 hours and overrides the schedule), start for a set number of hours, park, pause, ask whether it’s running, and check the battery. You set a Google PIN in the app first. Voice can’t restart the mower after someone has pressed its physical STOP button; that needs the PIN on the keypad.
- Segway Navimow: Segway says voice control supports “only basic operations, such as starting,” and “does not allow querying specific parameters.” It also warns that an unstable network can delay or drop commands.
- Mammotion: start, pause, resume, stop, dock and status, in English, German and French. You must create at least one mowing task in the app first, and with several mowers on one account, voice goes to the most recently added one.
Voice control is a convenience, not a replacement for the app. Mapping, zones, cutting height and schedules are still set on your phone. A Navimow X3 owner reviewing it on the blog Topics in Home Automation found Alexa handled start, stop and return to base but couldn’t mow individual zones. Where it got interesting was routines, such as linking the mower to weather or watering rules.
The picks
Most complete smart home support
Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD
- VoiceAlexa and Google
- AutomationIFTTT (11 actions, 10 triggers); official Home Assistant integration
- ConnectivityBuilt-in cellular
Husqvarna has the broadest support we found: Alexa, Google, IFTTT with actions including start for a set time, park and stay-out zones, and an integration built into Home Assistant. Built-in cellular means commands don’t depend on Wi-Fi reaching the yard. Husqvarna notes that voice control needs a model with cellular or Wi-Fi, or its Automower Connect add-on.
Good for
- Echo or Google households who want routines, not just commands
- Home Assistant users
Less good for
- A clear setup: Tom’s Guide found linking Alexa and Google “not obvious,” with no sign of it in the Automower app after pairing
- Siri or Apple Home users, which Husqvarna doesn’t support
- Tall-cut grasses such as St. Augustine: it stops at 2.8 inches
Alexa and Google on a compact mower
Mammotion YUKA mini 2
- VoiceAlexa and Google Home
- CommandsStart, pause, resume, stop, dock, status
- Stated cutting height (H)2.0 to 3.5 in
Mammotion’s voice-control guides for Alexa and Google Home describe its YUKA mowers, with a useful command set that includes docking and status. It suits smaller lawns in a smart home where both assistants are in use. The guides don’t list individual models, so check the voice option appears in the Mammotion app for the exact mower before you rely on it.
Good for
- Small lawns in Alexa or Google homes
- Owners who want status checks by voice
Less good for
- Multi-mower households: voice goes to the most recently added mower
- Adjusting height from the app: EasyLawnMowing notes height is set manually
- A polished app: Mammotion’s app is rated 2.9 on the U.S. App Store
Home Assistant and automation
- Husqvarna Automower: built into Home Assistant since version 2024.3, with resume, pause, park and battery. It needs a Husqvarna developer app key.
- Segway Navimow: an official integration from Segway, installed through HACS and needing Home Assistant 2026.1 or later. It supports start, pause, resume, dock and battery, and is under active development.
- Worx Landroid: the community Landroid Cloud integration supports start, pause, dock and battery.
- Mammotion: a community integration marked “work in progress,” which needs a second account because logging in with your main one signs you out of the phone app.
- Ecovacs GOAT: the built-in Ecovacs integration lists GOAT, but forum users report it can’t start some models.
Useful routines to set up
- “Party mode”: a routine that parks the mower when you say guests are coming.
- Rain: park the mower when a weather service forecasts rain. Many mowers already have rain sensors; see robot mowers in rain.
- Sprinklers: park the mower before the irrigation runs. Robot mowers and sprinkler systems explains why.
- Alerts: have a smart speaker announce when the mower reports an error, which Husqvarna’s IFTTT triggers make possible.
Voice and routines need the mower to be online. Does a robot mower need Wi-Fi? covers Wi-Fi versus built-in cellular. If you’re giving the mower itself, see robot mowers as a Christmas gift, and for accessories, gifts for robot mower owners.
Questions
Which robot mowers work with Alexa?
Husqvarna Automower, Segway Navimow (X4, X3, i-series and H-series), Mammotion and Sunseeker’s X7 state Alexa support, and Alexa skills are listed on Amazon for Worx Landroid and Ecovacs GOAT. Husqvarna and Navimow give the clearest details. What you can do varies, from full start, pause and park to basic commands only.
Which robot mowers work with Google Home?
Fewer than work with Alexa. Husqvarna Automower, the Navimow X3 and X4, Mammotion and Sunseeker’s X7 state Google support. Segway says its i-series and H-series work with Alexa only.
Can I control a robot mower with Siri or Apple Home?
Not directly. Husqvarna says Automowers can be controlled with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa but not Siri, and we found no brand with official Siri or Apple Home control. The Navimow X4 does work with Apple’s Find My, but only for locating the mower.
Do robot mowers support Matter?
No. Matter, the smart home standard, has no robot lawn mower device type. Matter 1.5, released in November 2025, added cameras, closures and energy features but not mowers, and Matter Alpha reported in July 2026 that there’s no way to add a robot mower to a Matter setup.
What can you tell Alexa to do with a robot mower?
With a Husqvarna Automower, Alexa can start, pause, park until further notice and resume the schedule, and Automower status can trigger Alexa Routines. Segway says Navimow voice control covers only basic operations such as starting, and doesn’t allow querying specific settings.
Do robot mowers work with Home Assistant?
Several do. Husqvarna Automower has an official integration built into Home Assistant, Segway publishes an official Navimow integration installed through HACS, and community integrations exist for Worx Landroid and Mammotion.
The short version
Alexa is the safest bet: Husqvarna, Navimow, Mammotion and Sunseeker all state support. Google works with Husqvarna, the Navimow X3 and X4, Mammotion and Sunseeker’s X7, but not Navimow’s smaller models. Siri, Apple Home and Matter aren’t options for any mower yet. Husqvarna offers the deepest integration, the Navimow X3 covers both main assistants, and Mammotion’s YUKA mini 2 brings both to small lawns. Expect voice to handle start, park and status, and keep using the app for everything else.
Smart features are one part of the choice.
Lawn size, slope and trees decide the rest.
